The Quirino Locale Choir was formed in June 2000 from the
amalgamation of two smaller locale choirs. Sam himself was their
first president famed for his strict dress code and time limit. In those early days,
there were times when there are more slip ups than fittingly right
performances. But they kept singing and learning. It was on
March 2001 when the group turned out in double as members of Locale of Bagbag merged with Quirino.
Today, with their growing undertakings and sense of duty, the Chorale
has now between 20 and 25 members, most of whom live in the areas of Novaliches, including parts of Caloocan. They perform serious (but
not necessarily solemn) mostly repertoire of praises and worship.
In June of 2004, they celebrated their 4th anniversary in
thanksgiving and praises. They also are pleased to welcome and thank
their former group members who, with their support have directed a
piece that had a connection to their history.
